On the 15th May, our team from Sweden organized an informative session about the upcoming elections for the European Parliament, at Husby Folket Hus, with the support of African Empowerment Centre, Radda Barnen (Safe the Children Sweden), and Folket Hus Husby/Jarva.
This activity had the objective of informing people (both young and old) living in Husby and in peripheral areas about the importance of EU elections and why people should go out and vote.
The event was moderated by our young multipliers from Sweden, Soha, and Khadijah that started this session by introducing the project and explaining some key topics about the European Union.
A prominent activist and member of the Swedish parliament, Malcolm Momodu Jallow, joined the conversation and gave his views on the EU elections, namely its importance and benefits to partake in it.
In this campaign action, local politicians and candidates were present and contributed with their knowledge for raising awareness towards the importance of voting, gattering almost 40 people in Husby - Sweden.
